Hikal Prioritizes Employee Well-Being with the Launch of Safety Month 2025 in Panoli

Panoli, March 5, 2025: Reinforcing its commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence, Hikal Ltd., a preferred long-term partner for leading global life sciences companies, has launched Safety Month campaign. The campaign, themed ‘Our Safety, My Responsibility’, will run from March 4 to March 31, 2025, featuring innovative programs that encourage both personal accountability and collective responsibility in safety practices.

Hikal believes that safety is a shared responsibility among all employees. To foster this culture, the company is introducing the 21-Day Safety Challenge, a structured program where employees will participate in daily safety activities, covering key aspects such as hazard identification, PPE compliance, and emergency response preparedness. This initiative encourages employees to take ownership of their safety and that of their colleagues, reinforcing the idea that safe behaviours must be a habit, not just a reaction to incidents.

In a bid to make safety more accessible and engaging, Hikal is launching ‘Safety in My Pocket’, a compact, multilingual booklet featuring key safety guidelines, emergency contacts, and QR codes linking to safety training videos and incident reporting tools. This initiative ensures that crucial safety information is readily available to employees at all times, enhancing quick decision-making in critical situations.

Further strengthening visual reinforcement, the campaign will feature Suraksha Veer, Hikal’s official safety mascot, across all facilities. Suraksha Veer will serve as a daily reminder of workplace safety, appearing in standees, posters, email communications, and digital screens to reinforce key safety messages. Additionally, the Safety Buddy Program will pair employees to encourage peer accountability, ensuring that every individual actively contributes to maintaining a safe working environment.

Beyond individual actions, Hikal is also implementing an organization-wide strategy to drive leadership involvement in safety. Leaders and managers will conduct site walks, safety talks, and mentorship sessions, demonstrating the company’s top-down commitment to prioritizing employee well-being. By fostering open conversations around safety, Hikal aims to create an environment where employees feel empowered to report hazards and proactively suggest improvements.

Ratish Jha, President HR, Hikal Ltd., commented, “Safety is the foundation of a resilient and responsible organization. In today’s dynamic work environment, companies must move beyond compliance and take a proactive approach to safety. By empowering employees with the right tools, knowledge, and mindset, we aim to drive a transformation where safety is seen as a personal responsibility rather than just a corporate directive.”

As part of its long-term commitment, Hikal is integrating these safety initiatives into its safety-first framework, ensuring that Safety Month is a stepping stone toward a sustained safety culture. By leveraging digital tools, training sessions, and on-ground activations, the company is setting a benchmark for safety excellence in the industry.
