On January 21, 2025, a Stakeholder Dissemination Workshop was organized to present the achievements of the Deepak Foundation’s Project “Sangaath,” funded by Deepak Phenolics , has made a significant impact in Bharuch by facilitating access to government schemes for thousands of families.

The event was graced by the presence of the Honorable District Development Officer of Bharuch, Shri Yogesh Kapse (IAS), as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Ms. M.D. Mistry (Mamlatdar, Bharuch), Dr. J.S. Dulera (Chief District Health Officer), and Dr. P.R. Mandani (District Agriculture Officer).
In the inaugural address, Dr. Akashkumar Lal, Deputy Director of Deepak Foundation, welcomed the guests. Following this, Ms. Smita Maniar, Head of Research and Development at Deepak Foundation, introduced the organization and its vision. She highlighted that Deepak Foundation, established in 1982, is a social organization working across five states in India (Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Telangana) to empower underserved communities and promote holistic development.
The foundation operates 42 villages of district. 36 villages of Vagra Taluka and 6 villages of Bharuch Taluka under the “Sangaath” project, financially supported by Deepak Phenolics. The project focuses on creating awareness and improving access to government schemes and services. Ms. Smita Maniar also elaborated on other projects undertaken by the foundation in Bharuch district.
Since its inception in 2020, the “Sangaath” project has benefited more than 9,700 families and over 29,500 individuals. The project has facilitated applications for approximately 65,000 government schemes and essential documents, of which an estimated 95% of applications have been approved by various departments of Bharuch District Administration. Through scheme linkages, beneficiaries have received a convergence of over ₹1,200 crore.

During the event, Chief Guest Mr Yogesh Kapse (IAS) emphasized the importance of raising awareness about government schemes and making them easily accessible to promote rural development. He lauded the proactive approach of Deepak Group of Companies through their CSR initiative and expressed confidence that such initiatives would prove to be highly valuable for underprivileged and marginalized communities.
The program was attended by Shri Praveen Vasava (District Livelihood Manager, DRDA), Mr. Harshad Patil, Director of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), Shri Deepak Bhai (Swachh Bharat Mission District Coordinator), Ms. Kashmira Savant, Program officer ICDS, Bharuch, other officials from Bharuch district, Mamlatdars from Bharuch and Vagra Talukas, Talati’s, employees of Deepak Foundation from Head office and Bharuch branch office , beneficiaries of the “Sangaath” project villages & media peoples.
The workshop marked a significant step in ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the underserved and remote areas, further empowering these communities.
